A morning run in Tumpat turned into a police case after a 15-year-old girl was found injured near a bushy area.
According to Sin Chew Daily, the teenager had gone out with her younger brother, but they became separated during the run. The boy later returned home after failing to find her.
The girl was subsequently discovered by a member of the public and rushed to hospital for treatment.
Police have opened an investigation under the Penal Code, including provisions covering rape and robbery with hurt.
