Malaysia has recorded a notable improvement in the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2026, rising eight spots to 15th place.
According to Sin Chew Daily, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the result shows that efforts to improve administrative efficiency and policy execution are producing results.
He noted that economic reforms, political stability and investor confidence have all contributed to the country improved standing.
The latest ranking gives Malaysia a stronger position in the regional economy, although maintaining progress will require steady reforms and clearer delivery on the ground.
